Yining graduated in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL) from East China Normal University in 2024, during that same year, she began her Masters in TCSOL at Fudan University.

Between 2020 and 2024, Yining participated in various activities related to international Chinese education and cross-cultural communication, including: serving as a language partner in the Mandarin Excellence Programme (MEP), participating in international cultural festivals, working as a teaching assistant for the online Chinese program at the ECNU International Education Center, and completing a practicum as a practice teacher at Wellington College International Shanghai. In 2025, she served as a teaching assistant in the Summer Chinese Immersion Program (SCI) at Fudan University and taught Chinese practice courses in the LSE-Fudan Summer Intermediate Chinese Programme. Yining joined the Confucius Institute for Scotland in 2025.
