By Car
Due to the one way system drivers should access Marchhall Crescent by turning off Dalkeith Road into Priestfield Road, then turn left onto Marchhall Crescent. Abden House is at the end of this road. Visitors to the Institute can park in the grounds of Abden House.
Evening class students can park in the University car park situated between the two sets of gates marking the entrance to the campus and Abden House.
By Bus
Lothian Region Buses which stop on Dalkeith Road are bus numbers 2,14,30,33.
Coming from the city centre visitors should get off the bus one stop after the Commonwealth Pool. If attending classes at North Building 79 Dalkeith Road you can enter the garden at no 79 and access North Building via Reception. Reception can also direct and give you access to South Building.
If coming to Abden House on leaving the bus walk forward to Marchhall Place, turn left along this short one way street before turning left again. Continue through the University car park, through the gates to arrive at Abden House where you simply ring for admission.
Coming into town visitors should alight from the bus one stop prior to the Commonwealth Pool. Directly across the road from the bus stop is Marchhall Place leading to Abden House. If going to classes in North or South Buildings simply seek access via reception at North Building, No 79 Dalkeith Road.
