Confucius Institute for Scotland in the University of Edinburgh Privacy Notice

The information you provide to the Confucius Institute for Scotland in the University of Edinburgh will be used for one or more of the following purposes

Who has access to your information?

Information is shared with other departments of the University of Edinburgh if their involvement is required to enable us to deliver a service or product to you.

Sharing personal data with third parties

Personal information from HSK and HSKK candidates is shared with the Chinese Testing Centre in China to enable your registration to be processed so you can take the booked exam and receive award certification.

Mailing Lists

We hold, with permission, email addresses to enable us to keep you up to date with information on activities such as courses, events and opportunities.

Duration

We retain data records for the time required to perform the processing for which it was collected.When you join our mailing list you have the right to request removal of your name at any time. Every two years we will write specifically to check you wish to remain on our mailing list.
