陈莉莉博士，于1999年获得英国杜勒姆大学语言学博士学位，曾在英国谢菲尔德大学东亚研究学院担任讲师多年。在Language in Society, the International Review of Applied Linguistics in Language Teaching, 和 the Journal of Language and Politics等国际学术刊物发表多篇论文。还在谢菲尔德大学设立了对外汉语教学硕士专业课程，并担任该项目主任多年。自2019年从谢菲尔德大学退休后，一直在英国开放大学翻译硕士专业任教。

Dr Lily Chen, who received her Ph.D in linguistics from the University of Durham in the UK in 1999. She was for many years a lecturer in the School of East Asian Studies at the University of Sheffield, UK. Her work has appeared in international journals including Language in Society, the International Review of Applied Linguistics in Language Teaching, and the Journal of Language and Politics. Another of Dr Chen’s major areas of interest was the Teaching of Chinese as a Foreign Language. She set up the MA in TCFL at the University of Sheffield, and was director of the programme for many years.
