ZHANG Qihong is a postgraduate student from the College of International Education at the Minzu University of China. Her research interests focus on language teaching methodology and intercultural communication.

She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from Hunan University of Science and Technology in 2018. The same year she worked as a Chinese teacher at Phanom Adun Witthaya School of Chachoengsao in Thailand and AFS Intercultural Programs of Thailand. She was awarded Excellent Chinese Teacher of Thailand in 2020.

She has a variety of interests, such as Chinese dance (Level Nine Certificate), Chinese calligraphy, and the tea ceremony. With a strong interest in different cultures, she hopes to promote intercultural understanding and communication.

She joined the Confucius Institute for Scotland at the University of Edinburgh in September 2022.
