Hu Jialu joined the Confucius Institute for Scotland at the University of Edinburgh in September 2021 from her home institution, Fudan University in China. She worked as a part-time Chinese language teacher while studying for her master degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages.
In her spare time, Jialu enjoys photographing and hiking. For her, Edinburgh is such a perfect place to work and enjoy life at the same time. She appreciates the opportunity to become a language teacher here, as it allows her to learn more about Scotland and the UK while sharing the Chinese language and culture with her students.
