The Beijing Film Academy is one of the strongest and most active partners of the University of Edinburgh in China.

Since spring 2008 the Director of the Confucius Institute, Professor Natascha Gentz has been working with BFA to bring this production to the Edinburgh fringe. By securing exclusive use of a major venue such as the McEwan Hall and gaining the financial backing of the University of Edinburgh and the Confucius Institute Headquarters in Beijing her longstanding relationship , coupled with the local expertise of the Institute and contacts in China convinced BFA to commit to bringing this spectacular show to Scotland for its World Premiere.
