Director, Planner & Script Adaptation: Wang Jinsong
Professor Wang Jinsong, Deputy Head of the School of Performance at Beijing Film Academy and lecturer in performance.
Professor Wang graduated from Beijing Film Academy in 1994 majoring in performance. In addition to his administrative duties as the Deputy Head of the School he has been actively participating in lecturing as well as performing in and directing various films, TV series and plays, such as the Godfather and Hamlet. In his career as an actor Wang Jinsong has created a diverse range of popular characters, which are much loved by his film and TV fans in China.
Multimedia Producer: Yang Qingsheng
Yang Qingsheng graduated in 1989 from Beijing Film Academy where he is now the chief of the teaching and research section in the Department of Art. He has been directing TV documentaries and commercials since 1996. Mr Yang has won many awards in China and internationally for his commercials but is most well known for his role as Visual Image Creative Studio Director for the Opening Ceremony of the Beijing Olympics.
Music Composer: Lü Jiajia
Lü Jiajia has been studying classic music since her childhood. Upon graduation from Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, she went to France to pursue her degree in Senior Composer from Ecole Normale de la Musique de Paris, learning from Yoshihisa Taira and Edith Lejet.
Lü Jiajia has held a number of solo concerts in Robert-Schumann Hochschule Duesseldorf in Germany, Beijing National Library Concert Hall, Beijing 798 Space and many other places in China. She has produced 3 personal albums of contemporary Chamber Music since 2004. In addition, she also composes for films and plays.
As an improvising musician Lü Jiajia has worked with Chinese and international musicians in experimental live performances.
Light Design: Ren Dongsheng
Ren Dongsheng graduated from the Central Academy of Drama majoring in Stage Art Design and is currently working as Light Design, Choreographer and Chief Technology Inspector for Beijing Dance Academy. He has been involved in light design for nearly 30 national and provincial dance plays and festival parties. Ren Dongsheng also established his own choreograph studio in 2004.
Sound Effect: Zhang Yufei
Zhang Yufei works as an audio engineer at Beijing Film Academy. He was seconded to the Olympics Committee in 2008 to take charge of the journalist work unit at the Media Centre in the Olympic Village.
He was in charge of the audio post production for the documentary on the award winning film Riding Alone for Thousands of Miles, which was directed by Zhang Yimo, the director of the Beijing Olympic Opening Ceremony.
Multimedia Production: Xu Dawei
Xu Dawei, multimedia artist, curator and lecturer in new media art in the Department of Art at Beijing Film Academy.
Xu Dawei achieved his Master’s Degree in Media Arts at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in University of Arts London. He has worked as Chief Multimedia Inspector for many well-known stage plays in China and his visual art works have been displayed in Art Basel Miami Beach, QUT Art Gallery in Brisbane, Bank Art 1929 in Yokohama, Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) in London as well as renowned galleries in China.
Choreographer: Wang Yabin
Wang Yabin, actress and lecturer at Bejing Dance Academy. Wang Yabin specialises in classic dance. She was appointed Choreographer for the Oscar-nominated film House of Flying Daggers, which was directed by Zhang Yimou. She is also the image for the Canon camera commercial, which has been broadcast in 5 different countries in Southeast Asia.
Among her other achievements Wang Yabin won five first prizes in major national dancing contests in 3 years. She also works closely with China Central Television (CCTV) on dance performance in various programmes.
Character Stylist: Luo Ting
Luo Ting, lecturer in Character Styling in the Department of Art at Beijing Film Academy.
Despite of a relatively short service of 3 years at BFA, Luo Ting, as a young character stylist of the new generation, has created and designed eye catching costumes for classical plays, such as Proof and Equus. She has also been involved in a number of popular Chinese stage plays, TV series and programmes.
