About the Expo
Dates:
May 1st to October 31st 2010The Expo Park will be open from 09:00 to midnight daily.
National pavilions will be open from 09:30 to 22:30.

Dimensions:
organised in 5 zones over 3.5 square miles on both sides of the Huangpu River. Zones A-C are located on the Pudong side of the river with D and E located in Puxi. Buses, metro and ferry services enable transport around the Expo site.
Zone A: located in the Pudong area this zone hosts Asian national pavilions (except South-East Asia) along with Arabian national pavilions.
Zone B: hosts national pavilions from South-East Asia and Oceania along with core and permanent pavilions including the China Pavilion, Performance Centre, World Expo Centre and the United Nations Pavilion and ecological landscape facilities.
Zone C: located west of the Lupu Bridge, this zone hosts the pavilions of European, American, African and international organisations.
Zone D: located in Puxi, west of Expo Blvd this area comprises historic shipyard buildings which have been refurbished as corporate pavilions. Expo space and outdoor venues have been created from old docks and berths.
Zone E: located in Puxi east of Expo Blvd this zone hosts corporate pavilions, the World Expo Museum and urban best practice area.

Events:
With an anticipated 20,000 events over the 184 days visitors will be spoilt for choice.
The Expo organisers will produce the opening and closing events along with celebrations for China National Day (1st Oct) along with a number of thematic events and daily professional performances.
In addition individual each pavilion will plan and host its own programme of events and activities. For details of activity at the UK Pavilion please visit the UK Expo Website for the latest confirmed events.
