SUMMARY:The Fourth Conference On Chinese Teaching In Scotland
DESCRIPTION:The Fourth Conference on Chinese Teaching in Scotland is a free half-day event and a series of three workshops throughout September for all who are involved or interested in the teaching of Chinese. The Conference aims to foster learning, inspire new ideas and promote dialogue among the Chinese teaching community, particularly in Scotland. The main conference will take place on Saturday morning, 4th September 2021, followed by a series of workshops in the afternoon of the 10th, 17th and 24th of September respectively. We welcome all in the Chinese language education field to participate in this free event.\nAll sessions will take place on the Zoom platform.\nThis Conference is jointly organised by the Confucius Institute for Scotland in the University of Edinburgh and the Swire Chinese Language Centre Edinburgh.\nDownload the full conference programme here.\nThe conference aims to cover the following topics:\n\nChinese Teaching Skills and Pedagogy\nUse of Technology for the Teaching and Learning of Chinese\nInto Teaching and Career Pathways\nThe Place for Chinese Language in the Scottish Educational Landscape\n\nThe keynote sessions and workshops will be led by international speakers, experienced teachers and senior staff from schools and universities. The working languages of the conference and workshops are English and Chinese.
