In addition to artistry and design, some of dresses within the show incorporated wearable technology features allowing modification of the colour and even the shape of the garment. To achieve this, high tech layers were incorporated into carefully and beautifully designed garments.
The process is both artistic and technical with A.I. generated components created to meet the demands of the designers and the vision for a garment. Materials used can be surprising including not only silks, cottons, viscose and bamboo but also thermoplastic polyurethane more commonly found in industrial manufacturing!
Pieces in this collection drew inspiration from many sources including architectural, botanical and Chinese art. The results are both stunning and surprising.
