China at the Fringe -7 Aug

For one night only - Young China Shines

Shanghai Jinshan Student Art Troupe make their Edinburgh Fringe debut in a two-hour, one-day only performance showcasing un-seen art and culture from Young China Shines Shanghai. Inspired by the famous farmer’s paintings of the region, dance, music, singing and martial arts are fused to depict scenes of daily life, incorporating ancient traditional Chinese instruments and awe inspiring performances from over 40 students. Part of the China Fringe Festival, the evening begins at 6.30pm with a free one-hour reception where the public is invited to participate in traditional Chinese arts and crafts including paper cutting, calligraphy and painting.

The show itself runs from 7.30-9.30pm and tickets are priced at only £5 on a 2 for 1 basis meaning each ticket costs only £2.50.
