Summer short classes: Language, music and art

The Confucius Institute has compiled a varied range of short courses to take place between 28 June-29 July which offer the chance to try something new or take your first steps in learing Chinese.

Not sure if language learning is for you? Sign up for a Taste of China when in a few hours you will be given the opportunity to pick up some useful Chinese phrases as well as some insights into China.

Want to learn Chinese but short of time? Try our five week intensive programme of Chinese 1.1. when in 20 hours you will establish a good foundation for learning and be able to introduce yourself and hold a simple conversation the topics covered.

Feeling more creative? Try our three day Chinese Arts course when you will be introduced to the arts of calligraphy, brush painting and seal making or perhaps try our melodious music course which will teach you the basics of playing the Yang Ch`in (Chinese Hammered Dulcimer).

Or to try something completely different, discover the fascination of Chinese paper cutting for one, two or three evenings!
