Join us on Thurs 18 March for a special lecture from Professor Shen Tung, National Taiwan University on the topic `Music Taipei vs. Music Shanghai: An Historic Overview of the Dissemination of Chinese Opera and Popular Songs from Shanghai to Taipei in the 20th Century.`
As Professor at Graduate Institution of Musicology at National Taiwan University, Prof Tung`s research interest include History of Chinese Music; Chinese Music Theory; Chinese Lyrics; and Chinese Classical Drama
Prof Tung is also Dean of the Office of International Affairs and her recent publication include ‘The Preliminary Observation on Historical Documents of Taiwanese Opera in Ching Dynasty’ in “China Musicology.”; ‘Musical Taipei—The Historical Echoes of the Hundred-Year in Taipei CityⅠ&Ⅱ’ in “The Art of Music.” ;‘The Musical Education and Musicians at the Turn of A Modern Century—from Peixin Lee Bao-Chen to Guangdong Huang Yeou-Dih’ in “Moden China”; and ‘The New Exploration of Tsai Yuan Ding’s Eighteen Temperament Ⅰ& Ⅱ,’ in “The Art of Music” etc.
