Event Date: 08/02/2009Celebrate the Year of the Ox with music, dance, calligraphy, art and animation at Edinburgh`s National Museum of Scotland.
Harmony Ensemble will be collaborating with members of the Intercultural Music and Arts Project (iMAP) to put on an interactive Chinese New Year celebration. We will perform Chinese New Year music and collaborate with the children`s drumming group from Ipswich Community Radio. The children are between four and twelve years old and the group will be led by Lydia, a special guest from Hong Kong.
Come along to enjoy the special atmosphere or even take part in an open workshop of drumming and movement? Take part in Chinese activities and collect the stamps. Get them all and win a Chinese New Year souvenir!
This drop in, free event at the National Museum of Scotland will run from 12.30 till 16.00 and is suitable for everyone.
