The Confucius Institute for Scotland offers a wide array of weekday evening courses in Chinese language (Mandarin) along with a varied programme of cultural classes, seminars, lectures and special events.

The winter term starts week beginning 16 January 2012 and we are pleased to offer two new beginners classes as well as continuation classes for previous students of the language. A detailed timetable is shown below. Online booking is available via the University's Languages for All website.

The Institute is one of only three centres in the UK authorised to hold HSK examinations. The next exam diet is Saturday 3 December and registration for this date is now closed.. The main exam diet is in early May 2012. Registration for the May diet of exams will open in Feb/March 2012.
