Calligraphy and Chinese Brush Painting Classes April-May 2013
As spring comes to Scotland we are pleased to offer a five week course for those keen to start or continue to develop their artistic calligraphy/brush painting skills.
Classes in Chinese Brush Painting & Calligraphy at the Confucius Institute for Scotland are suitable for both beginners and improvers.
Discover this ancient art and the tranquility that comes from learning and practicing under the guidance of course leader Chi Zhang.
The Spring Term will see classes run on Tuesday evenings from 6.30-8.30pm starting on Tuesday 16 April with the last class of the term on finishing on Tuesday 14 May 2013.
Beginners will start with the practice of basic strokes and simple characters and then progress to more complex calligraphy and brush painting. With small classes there is plenty of personal attention and printed handouts are provided for home practice.
For the more advanced student there is the opportunity to pursue their own interest in the field of Brush Painting and Calligraphy.
All classes are held in the main teaching room of the Confucius Institute and all materials are provided.
One to one tutorials and small group workshops can also be arranged. Please email info@confuciusinstitute.ac.uk or call us on 0131 662 2180 to discuss.
