Calligraphy and Chinese Brush Painting Classes Jan-Mar 2012
The Calligraphy and Chinese Brush Painting Classes at the Confucius Institute for Scotland will start from Tuesday 17 January 2012. We will offer both beginners and improvers the chance to study the art of Chinese calligraphy and, if interested, Brush Painting.
Beginners will start with the practice of basic strokes and simple characters and then progress to more complex writing such as the student’s own name. With small classes there is plenty of personal attention and printed handouts are provided for home practice.
For the more advanced student there is the opportunity to pursue their own interest in the field of Calligraphy and Brush Painting.
Classes run each Tuesday evening in the Confucius Institute. Beginners runs from 18.30-20.30 and Improvers from 19.00-21.00. The term lasts for ten weeks with the last class taking place on Tuesday 20 March 2012.
All classes are held in the Confucius Institute and all materials are provided.
One to one tutorials and small group workshops can also be arranged. Please email info@confuciusinstitute.ac.uk or call us on 0131 662 2180 to discuss.
