Term time programme
The Confucius Institute for Scotland offers a wide array of weekday evening courses in Chinese language (Mandarin) along with a varied programme of cultural classes, seminars, lectures and special events.
Language classes in the spring term will run from w/b 22 April for 10 weeks. The timetable of language classes from April is shown below. Booking for these will open in March.
For anyone who has some prior learning in Mandarin we are happy to provide an assessment to help ensure you are placed in the class which best suits your level.
Calligraphy classes will run from w/b 16 April for only five weeks and booking is now open.
Please note that if the class you wish to take is fully subscribed please register your interest via email to info@confuciusinstitute.ac.uk or call us on 0131 662 2180. We will run a waiting list and/or will try to schedule additional classes in line with demand.

HSK - Chinese Proficiency Test
The Institute is one of only three centres in the UK authorised to hold HSK examinations. An online exam will take place on 23 March applications for which are now closed. Additional HSK exams will be run in May and November 2013. Students who have completed at least two courses with us should be able to pass HSK level 1 with more advanced students trying the exam at higher levels.
