In the UK there are a number of Confucius Institutes forming the Confucius Institute Network UK. The UK members meet and share experiences and ideas on a regular basis. The UK members are:

- The London Confucius Institute (SOAS)
- The Confucius Institute at the University of Manchester
- London Confucius Institute for Business (LSE)
- Sheffield Confucius Institute (Sheffield University)
- Confucius Institute at Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (London)
- Cardiff Confucius Institute
- University of Wales, Lampeter
- The Confucius Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine in London South Bank University
- The Nottingham Confucius Institute
The list of Institutes continues to grow around the UK and around the world.
In 2007 the Confucius Institute for Scotland in the University of Edinburgh was recognised as an exemplar institute by Hanban when Director, Professor Natascha Gentz was awarded a trophy in Beijing’s Great Hall of the People.
