Biography

Wei Zhou studied at Xi'an International Studies University where he took his BA (2000) and MA (2005). He majored in Tourism English for his undergraduate studies and Cultural Studies for his Master's degree. Upon Wei's graduation, he was employed as a lecturer at his Alma Mater, and worked there until September 2007. He has also worked as a tour guide in China working with visitors from many English speaking countries.

Wei Zhou is a full-time PhD candidate at Chinese Studies in the University of Edinburgh and has been actively involved inthe Confucius Institute for Scotland since opening.

One of the most popular courses Wei Zhou delivers is his Insight Evening programme introducing China's Golden Triangle of Beijing, Xian and Shangahi while also giving attendees an understanding of the impact of the 30 years of reform.
