Hanban

The driving force in China for the development of the network of Confucius Institutes is The Office of Chinese Language Council International, known as Hanban. Hanban supports each Institute in delivery of its objectives through the provision of both financial and physical resources such as library materials and language learning assets.

Hanban also arranges secondments for Chinese language teachers to Confucius Institutes around the world.

Teaching staff are carefully selected and each is a qualified teacher of Chinese as a foreign language with at least five years of experience of teaching foreigners.

With the growth in the network of Institutes Hanban recently established a new headquarters in Beijing to support the work of more than 200 institutes around the world. For more information on Hanban click here http://english.hanban.org/index.php
